What to Grow in August (Temperate Climate Australia)

August is an exciting month in the garden. It’s the month of looking forward to spring planting and getting started on seed sowing for the warmer seasons. We’ve had a cold start to the month in Sydney but the last week or so, it feels like spring is in the air. According to the BOM, warmer temperatures are expected for the remainder of August so it’s time to start sowing.

Garden Cocktail of the Month: August – Quince and Rosemary Highball

Garden Cocktail of the Month

Now that the weather is getting warmer, a thirst-quenching highball cocktail is in order. I’ve been fortunate to find quince readily available in winter and we’ve been enjoying the winter fruit in compotes and cocktails. This drink is easy to make. All you need are three ingredients and soda water to top. An ideal and refreshing cocktail garden to enjoy in the afternoons.

Cheers to enjoying garden cocktails in August!
